Moving the Needle on Sustainability: Our Work with the Canadian Wood Waste Recycling Business Group

Some projects hit especially close to home—not just because of the work involved, but because of the mission behind them. Our collaboration with the Canadian Wood Waste Recycling (CWWR) Business Group is one of those projects.

What began as a request for a new website and brand refinement quickly turned into a much deeper alignment of values. Working alongside CTO James Donaldson, we helped take CWWR’s message of renewable resource innovation and waste-to-energy potential from an idea to a clear, confident digital platform. From layout and content flow to visuals and messaging, every element of the site was designed to engage municipalities, industries, and thought leaders who understand that wood waste isn’t garbage—it’s opportunity.

What We Contributed:

  • Website Design & Development: The site had to reflect a national, solutions-driven organization—but stay approachable and grounded. We created a clean, modern layout that delivers CWWR’s message with clarity and confidence, while giving room to grow as its impact expands.

  • Ongoing Website Hosting & Maintenance: Reliability and security matter—especially when your audience spans government agencies, academic institutions, and environmental professionals. We ensure CWWR’s site stays online, up-to-date, and ready to serve.

  • Graphic Design & Marketing Materials: From presentation decks to promo assets, our creative team has developed the tools CWWR needs to advocate, connect, and lead within a very specialized space.

A Deeper Level of Involvement

This wasn’t just another client project—it turned into a shared mission. With my own background in tech, sustainability, and strategic branding, stepping into the role of CEO of CWWR was a natural evolution. I believe in the power of renewable resource innovation and closed-loop thinking. Taking the reins of CWWR wasn’t just a business move—it was a commitment to push these ideas into the national conversation and help bring this sector the recognition and support it deserves.
