CONTRACT TERMS & CONDITIONS
Prior to beginning work on any marketing project, Alchemy Imageworks requires each client to submit a signed project estimate along with a deposit equal to 50% of their project estimate. The signed project estimate or initial invoice serves as a written agreement between Alchemy Imageworks and the client and clarifies the scope of the project.
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY FOR GRAPHIC ART FOR PRINT
Clients must provide the text content for basic company information including names, titles, phone numbers and address, plus additional text content for the message. Text, photographs or special graphics requirements including format are detailed on the Ordering Advice page or may be requested during initial communications.
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY FOR WEBSITE CONTENT
Clients understand their business better than anyone, so they are responsible for providing web design text content and unique graphics such as a logo or photographs. Custom web graphics to present your corporate image and colour scheme are included in the price of your small business web design.
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT TRIFOLD BROCHURE AND OTHER TEXT CONTENT
Often text content is one of the most difficult aspects of helping your designer. Many small business owners know their business inside and out, but have trouble documenting this information. Writing skills and perfect content or spelling is NOT necessary. For each section of your project it will often be enough to write a list of bullets or phrases that describe what you do and the benefit to your customers. We will take care of the rest.
A SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT WEB DESIGN TEXT CONTENT
Often website text content is one of the more difficult aspects of helping your designer. Many small business owners know their business inside and out, but have trouble documenting this information. Writing skills and perfect content or spelling is NOT necessary. For static page text content your custom web design project may only require a list of bullets or phrases that describe what you do and the benefit to your customers. Our team of design and writing professionals will do the rest. Please note that additional copyrighting may be assessed for fee as appropriate.
PAYMENT POLICY
Payment in full (minus the initial 50% deposit) is due within 15 days of delivery of the project to the client. Payment received after the 15-day grace period will be assessed a $25 late fee.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Should a client wish to cancel a project once a signed project estimate or invoice has been received by Alchemy Imageworks a 30% cancellation fee will be assessed if work has already begun on the project. In addition, the initial project deposit of 50% will not be refunded.
RIGHTS TO PROMOTE
Alchemy Imageworks reserves the right to photograph any portion of a design project and to use said photographs or other forms of reproduction as means of self-promotion and publicity. This also applies to screenshots, graphics and logo representation of said design project.
PROJECT PURCHASES
Any purchases made by Alchemy Imageworks of photo/image stock or related expenses will be charged at cost plus a 20% fee for shopping, selecting and acquiring the image. Expenses will be approved by the client prior to major activities.
PRIVACY POLICY
Alchemy Imageworks respects the privacy of its clients and only uses information it collects via the website to contact those clients who have submitted an e-mail request for a project estimate.
